20 Astral Keys to Gates of Universal Consciousness

Carl Gustav Jung (1875–1961) was a Swiss psychiatrist who developed the field of analytical psychology and introduced the concept of archetypes of consciousness being "innate universal psychic dispositions that form the substrate from which the basic themes of human life emerge. Being universal and innate, their influence can be detected in the form of myths, symbols, rituals and instincts of human beings. Archetypes are components of the collective unconscious and serve to organize, direct and inform human thought and behaviour. ...archetypes heavily influence the human life cycle, propelling a neurologically hard-wired sequence which he called the stages of life. Each stage is mediated through a new set of archetypal imperatives which seek fulfillment in action."[1]

Centuries before Jung, the Maya introduced the very similar concept of Archetypes of Divine Consciousness. (According to the Maya, there are 20 of them.) Likewise, these Archetypes form the substrate from which individual Divine Consciousness emerges. Twenty years ago, I was sitting in my little studio in Los Angeles, CA, sequencing and recording the first acoustic translations of the Mayan Sacred Calendar, the Tzolkin, and shifting into what was being called the "Harmonic Convergence." Throughout the convergence, the acoustic translations of the Tzolkin's 20 Sacred Signs were being broadcast through my house and yard via the only radio transmission system accessible to me at the time, an el cheapo walkie talkie. Lolol... Hey, gotta do what ya gotta do and, having "coincidentally" translated the Tzolkin into sound only months before, my intention was to insure that the planet's ethereal body received both the galactic radio transmission and a local radio transmission of the [concentrated] Tzolkin's currents, simultaneously. It was the least I could do for the planet and, although I had the least of the consumer broadcasting possibilities, I got the job done. (A little leaven leavens the whole loaf.) Since that auspicious transit, the world's consciousness has followed a predicted course toward collective enlightenment, on and relative to all levels of society. Now, here we are, 20 years later, poised on the precipice of (and rapidly accelerating into) the most profound shift in planetary consciousness the world has ever experienced. Fortunately, the ancient Maya priests who foresaw this time also perceived and left us the Tzolkin as a tool to help us transit this period successfully.

Here is the fundamental value of the Tzolkin; it is a Key unlocking the Archetypal Properties embodied in cycles of the 4th dimension, Time, that enable us to ascend into higher levels of Life and being human (in the Highest sense of the word). Time is about periodicity, frequency. Basically, Consciousness, the All in all, uses Time to effect change in the 3rd, 2nd and 1st dimensions. The Tzolkin is a map of how Consciousness does so relative to the expression of specific Aspects of Itself. The Tzolkin is a table of the Logic embodying specific, cyclic Patterns of Time facilitating the expression of those Aspects through all states of manifestation via electromagnetic radiation. When those Patterns are expressed in their purest Form, i.e. electromagnetic frequency, e.g. sound or light, that expression effects a psychoactive, ethereal bridge to the 4th dimension and the Consciousness that generates, progresses and sustains all that is.

At this time, the world understands the principals of using complimentary sounds to effect brain synchronization and cognitive enhancement. Now, we understand the validity of using tone to effect remarkable physiological and psychological shifts. Furthermore, we not only accept, we embrace the mathematical plausibility of a multidimensional universe beyond the accepted 4 dimensions; length, width, height/depth and time. Today, we understand the unity of these dimensions and of all things in such a way that we can comprehend how certain harmonic patterns transmitted in the 3D expression of Life may effect links to their concurrent Life expressions in the 4D, 5D and higher realms. We understand that sound can be used to effect vibrational states whereby higher levels of perception and informations are obtained. And now, as a result of the Tzolkin acoustic translations, we are capable of taking an ordinary CD and tangibly applying dynamics of the 4th dimension to radically and positively progress individual and communal consciousness, health and vitality.

Jesus (the Christ, not Martinez) said "They that have ears to hear, let them hear." He knew not everyone was prepared to hear the enlightening Truth that Consciousness was pouring through him, nevertheless, he spoke so those who could hear It would have the opportunity to do so. I'm sure there are many people reading this who are dismissing the above as New Age delusion, at best, and that does not negate the validity of what I'm sharing, nor of my experience and the experiences of many others who have used the Tzolkin acoustic translations. At one point, we lacked the instruments to confirm we live in an heliocentric planetary system, that information can be transmitted across open air without wires, that our cells are individual microcomputers. We may not have the instruments required to validate string theory or the practical linking of our 3D experience to the vital currents of the 4th and higher dimensions using sound and/or light, however we will. Those who do or may understand and are seeking the value of the easily applied tools for personal enhancement such as the Tzolkin translations (who share this online community) deserve to hear now, and they can.

I'm very interested to hear what 13 means to everyone life experiences...symbolism...and energy meanings. For me it resonates as an awareness that is very strong. I'm clairvoyant, and have extemely vivid dreams, since I was a child. Very telepathic and empathetic...sometimes people resonate to that, sometimes they feel threatened. Take Magic Flight!

According to the Dreamspell mythology, it is 208 steps to Merlin's Tower, then comes entry to the Green Central Castle of Enchantment, the Court of the Matrix and the Moon Genesis. This means that the Day out of Time, Kin 208, should be the most magical Day out of Time yet. Originally called green day because green is the overtone chromatic color signifying the galactic fifth force, this Day out of Time let us all exercise our galactic freedom and contact the Galactic Federation. With only six and a half years to the Closing of the Cycle this is the moment to send the signal to space and see if the Galactic Federation won't beam us back a reply.

Flying saucers from other worlds dropped in unexpectedly at the original Woodstock Festival, in New York and at the Jimi Hendrix Rainbow Bridge concert in Hawai'i - so why won't they respond to a synchronized signal sent by groups of meditators and concerts intentionally beaming a psychic signal to space. Everything depends on our intention, focus and synchronized effort to communicate and see if we can't establish two-way communication. After all, every year we receive signals in the form of ever more fascinating crop circles, so why don't we send a few signals that we are all familiar with and see if we don't get a signal back. Why don't we send the banner of peace and Hunab Ku/galactic shield symbols out into space - telepathically, and wherever we can by laser beams.

There are several ways we can do this. First of all, wherever there are Day Out of Time gatherings, as early in the day as possible - pre-dawn is best when the airwaves are pretty clear - we should take time to sit in a circle and come to absolute quiet and natural mind peacefulness. Then, after fifteen minutes or so, all together we should concentrate and visualize in our mind the symbol of the banner of peace. This is easy to do. Think that all of us gathered at this particular place have the same image in mind, concentrating on it without distraction. Then, as we hold that image as clear and distinct as we can make it in our imaginal mind, visualize that the projections of this symbol are being sent radially out from that circle, beaming it to the farthest reaches of space. In your mind and heart you should fill that visualization with pure unconditional love, requesting fervently that it be and that the Galactic Federation is requested to help bring peace to the planet by first sending some kind of sign that it has received our message.

Then, after another fifteen minutes or so of beaming the banner of peace symbol, you can follow that up with the hunab ku/galactic shield visualization (this is the one on the Dreamspell kit). Gathering yourself in silence again for another fifteen minutes or so, then, as before, commence to visualize the hunab ku/galactic shield. After you have the image as distinct and clear as you can get it in your mind's eye, then again begin to project it into space, radiating out in so many beams from your circle. This time your intention is to contact the extraterrestrial intelligence, for you need knowledge and help for your planet. Feel fervently in your heart and mind how such supermental knowledge at this time could help your planet solve its problems.

Finally, after another fifteen minutes of visualizing and projecting, take another fifteen minutes or so to return to the calm and quiet of the natural mind meditation, always minding the gap. Then to complete the exercise, do the rainbow bridge visualization, feeling the rainbow projecting from the poles of the Earth. Once again, as you complete the visualization, send it to out into deepest space radiating out from your circle of galactic freedom lovers, letting the Galactic Federation know of your vision for 2012 and requesting that whatever assistance they can give for the fulfillment of this vision, it will be most profoundly appreciated.

That is the first part of the exercise. Then later in the day if there are any concerts, let the performance of these be on behalf of sending a signal into space in the hope that it may be heard or received and reciprocated in some way. Nothing particularly special has to be done, but merely that the performers and audience know that the intention of this concert is specifically to send a signal to space on behalf of galactic freedom on Earth. If there are evening events, or in any case in the evening, where there might be the technology to do so, laser lights bearing the symbols of the banner of peace and the galactic shield should be projected upwards into the sky, signaling the extraterrestrials that a unified, synchronized effort is being made to communicate with them, that we know we need their help and that we are ready to receive them in whatever way they wish to manifest or communicate.

The more people on Earth that can participate in this effort, the better. As the earth turns there will be a moving 24 hour synchronization of meditation, concerts and laser light shows all beaming the same message: we are in peace; we need your intelligence; we are ready for you; 2012 is very near now. Can you help us?

Everything depends on clarity of mind, selflessness, compassion, and no expectation to receive anything in the familiar paradigm, but something totally unexpected, perhaps even as some radically new intuition or perception collectively perceived. Purify your body and mind. Be ready.

Dear Kin,

This is a call for all to come and share in a very special spiritual event - Dwight Loop's "Hunab Ku Trilogy" at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco - see below. Come and share this transformative and healing musical experience with us. We will have a PAN Pacifica booth there and would welcome anyone who would like to help reach out to others.

Hunab Ku; the Trilogy is a a stunning, deep space, electronic music composition based on ancient Mayan cosmological term for the galactic center of the galaxy. Grace Cathedral will be a perfect setting for the premiere of the entire Hunab Ku Trilogy.

One, was that Arguellas described the Hunab Ku being the galactic radio waves emanating from the galactic center were 'shifting. This concept coincided with a 'feeling' or intuition that we were in the beginning stages of this cosmic energy shift. The Berlin Wall had just come down in the late 80s and there was an incredible surge of 'energy' going on for change. I felt that I needed to express this energetic shift happening in music and thus the Trilogy. This trilogy represents the cosmic vibrations, emitted from the Hunab Ku, which are changing our consciousness and our DNA, preparing for the next phase of our evolution.

The symbol of Hunab Ku is called the Galactic Butterfly. It is said to represent all of the consciousness that has ever existed in this galaxy. This is all of our physical ancestors both human, animal, reptile, fish, shell fish, plants as well as the consciousness which organized all of the raw material from a whirling disk into stars then planets and solar systems. Big Meaning. So big that the original Maya had no symbol for this. In their civilization it was like having no name for God. Just knowing the concept was good enough. Later this pattern was devised by Toltec or Zapatec weavers as a pattern for blankets and this is where Jose Arguelles came across it. The name Hunab Ku means the "one giver of movement and measure." The indigenous peoples call it "The Galactic Butterfly." Butterflies are seen as ancestors returning for a visit to physicality. As an electronic composer, his works have been performed at the New Music America Festival in 1990, the Concentration New Music Series, Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe, NM; Contemporary Music Series, the Cell Space (San Francisco, CA) and the Synapse Electronic Arts Series; (Sausalito, CA) at Cobalt Sun.

Dwight's work has been heard on many public radio stations around the world and he was the host of the acclaimed new music radio program, Earwaves from 1977-2001 on KUNM=FM in Albuquerque, NM KSFR-FM in Santa Fe, NM. He is currently co-director of Cobalt Sun Studios in Sausalito and is a member of ambient electronic group Tropozone. His recordings Hunab Ku-Live and Mystery's River were released on Third Ear and his upcoming CD Dream Jungle will be released in the spring of 2006.

GENERAL: "The earth will be broken up in many places. The early portion will see a change in the physical aspect of the west coast of America. There will be open waters appearing in the northern portions of Greenland. There will be new lands seen off the Carribbean Sea, and dry land will appear.... South American shall be shaken up from the uppermost portion to the end, and in the Antarctic off Tierra del Fuego, land, and a strait with rushing waters...."

According to Cayce, the shifting of the poles was to occur around the turn of the century, but the natural sequence of events leading up to the shift began with the signs in the South Pacific and the Mediterranean and the appearance of land near Bimini. The West Coast destruction will be early on this time clock of events, as will the inundation of parts of the Carolinas and Georgia.

(so maybe Edgar saw the pole shift of the Sun? He said around 2001 there would be a pole shift. Maybe he meant the sun....if so this is yet another "prediction" of this amazing sleeping prophet to come true...)

I was born on a Friday the 13th. 13 has always been lucky for me. Not sure why I am engaging in such writings but I just wrote this for your consumption:

A Call to Worldwide Awareness

They say that for every end there is a new beginning. Perhaps no such ending and re-beginning has ever been greater then what is dawning upon civilization at this moment. The Mayan civilization developed a calendar system that started in 3114 BC and is of remarkable accuracy and complexity. The calendar describes the sequence and timing of Earth’s electromagnetic fields via the Sun, and human consciousness responds to those fields. It is believed that the date of August 13, 3114 BC was the Maya's idea of the beginning of time. What is of utmost importance is that the calendar ends on December 21, 2012.

Most professionals believe that the ending of the calendar will bring a major shift in global human consciousness. That indeed what we will witness will be the dawning of a new, super enlightenment period of open, honest, caring and loving people who are united to the divine. Before long world-wide awareness of this massive spiritual enlightenment cycle will catch on like wild fire. More and more people will become one in spirit and expand at an ever increasing rate.

The planet and people by this time should realize the reality of what will proceed. With more people doing good, working in unison with their soul and those souls around them, the impact will be all-embracing and universal. What's more is that humanity will finally be enabled to reach for divinity. And so rivers will become crystal clear, the air beautiful to breath, nut and fruit trees swollen with offerings, mother nature in harmony with what once was and will forever be.

I am compiling rituals/activities that are designed around the Dreamspell and the calendar. If you have any cool activities exercises, or rituals you have used to work with the tones & tribes or helping people to understand easier, and better how the Dreamspell matrix works, I'D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT IT!
For example: getting a group of people together in the sequence of the tribes, having them hold hands, then spiral around the dragon(s) and spiral into a tight spiral, then peeling back off, and finally pulling out into a circle and the dragon(imix) meets up and joins hands with the Sun(ahau). Y ’know stuff like that …

I am also looking for any ritual language you may have used, besides the prayer of the 7 galactic directions. prayers or invokations or galactic synch up words...

Hi, Im new here (sort of)

Well I finally got brave enought to say hello. I've been "lurking" for a while but an interesting thing happened last Tuesday that I wanted to share.

It was of course the first full moon of the new year, and I was priviledged to open my home for a women's moon ritual. There were six of us present and before beginning the ritual we shared with one another the significance certain numbers have to us as individuals.

Almost every woman in the room as it turns out, was born on the 13th day of the month! This gave our ritual even greater meaning. You could say we've become bonded as cosmicthirteen sisters. It was quite magickal.

Anyway, I love following the threads here and enjoy learning what significance this unjustly maligned number has for all of you.

I had a vision that when we all realize that our 'peace symbol' has been used "upside down" for many years, and we CHANGE it, then our kharma may change. :-)

It was just a thought, or rather a profound vision!

To understand why I am saying this, you have to be familiar with the oracle of RUNES; with Algiz. You see, the peace symbol is a circle with an 'upside down Y' and a straighline thru it. The Y with a straight line thru it is the symbol rune stone of "PROTECTION" - ALGIZ.

BUT instead of writing peace symbols with the symbol (Y) upright we all write these peace signs with the RUNE of protection in a "reverse" manner. This is giving us the reversed energy of protection.

The reverse meaning is "slow growth or decline. You may be open to attack".... so whats up with that? Also the symbol was created from a feeling of "despair" as quoted by the inventor of the peace symbol.

Its time we start writing the peace symbols UPRIGHT, yes? :-)

Whitehead, in his valuable book (Symbolism: Its Meaning And Effect) shows that society is held together by acceptance of, and reverence for, its symbols."

The reverse of this is also true. A society can be attacked by the undermining or perversion or destruction of its symbols.

Symbols are very important in the psychic field of human being. It is with ‘symbols ’that the High Initiates of Ancient Egypt used to communicate with telepathically.

I believe if we delve deeper into the "peace symbol" we will be amazed at how its creation was born from "deep despair", which is not very good sufficient grounds for peace.

HISTORY OF OUR PEACE SYMBOL

It was designed in 1958, February 21, (White Rythmic Wizard) by a British Gerald Holtom, a professional designer, artist and a graduate of the Royal College of Arts. He showed his preliminary sketches to a small group of people in the Peace News office in North London and to the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War, one of several smaller organisations that came together to set up CND.

A SYMBOL OF DESPAIR?

Gerald Holtom, a conscientious objector who had worked on a farm in Norfolk during the Second World War, explained that the symbol incorporated the semaphore letters N(uclear) and D(isarmament). He later wrote to Hugh Brock, editor of Peace News, explaining the genesis of his idea in greater, more personal depth:

“I was in despair. Deep despair. I drew myself: the representative of an individual in despair, with hands palm outstretched outwards and downwards in the manner of Goya ’s peasant before the firing squad. I formalised the drawing into a line and put a circle round it. ”

Eric Austin added his own interpretation of the design: "the gesture of despair had long been associated with the death of Man and the circle with the unborn child."

(I wonder if this Gerald Holtman, creator of our peace symbol is any relation to Capt. Gerald P. Holtom, a Marine intelligence officer born and raised in Japan.)

In earlier times the peace character "actually began as a symbol of Satanic benediction during the rituals.'' This sign has been used by Yasser Arafat, Richard Nixon, Winston Churchill, and Stewart Meacham, Co-Chairman of Reds' New Mobilisation Committee." Churchill said that the sign stood for victory but remember that Churchill was one of the insider "elite" and a Mason.

"Known as the 'peace sign' throughout the 1960's and into the present day, this symbol is the Teutonic rune of death. 1950's peace advocate Gerald Holtom may have been commissioned by communist sympathiser Bertrand Russell to design a symbol to unite leftist peace marchers in 1958. It is clear that either Holtom or Russell deemed the Teutonic (Neronic) cross as the appropriate symbol for their cause.

"Throughout the last 2,000 years this symbol has designated hatred of Christians. Nero, who despised Christians, crucified the Apostle Peter on a cross head downward. This hideous event resembled the Teutonic cross and became the popular insignia of the day. Thereafter, this sign became known as the 'Neronic cross.'

"The symbol's origin in history proves it to be the visual mystic character for 'Aum' (the split 'Y'- UPRIGHT). This is the sacred word to the Hindu. Chanting 'Aum' is supposed to help awaken 'the serpent power of Brahma' at the base of the human spine. Occultist Albert Pike also identifies this symbol as mystical in his book on Freemasonry Morals and Dogma.

The peace symbol (also called the "broken cross," "crow's foot," "witch's foot," "Nero Cross," "sign of the 'broken Jew,'" and the "symbol of the 'anti-Christ''') is actually a cross with the arms broken - DOWNWARD. It also signifies the "gesture of despair," and the "death of man.''

"The Germanic tribes who used it attributed strange and mystical properties to the sign. Such a 'rune', in reverse is said to have been used by 'black magicians' in incantations and condemnations....To this very day the inverted broken cross--identical to the socialists' 'peace' symbol--is known in Germany as a 'todersrune,' or death rune. Not only was it ordered by Hitler's National Socialists that it must appear on German death notices, but it was part of the official inscription prescribed for the gravestones of Nazi officers of the dread SS. The symbol suited Nazi emphasis on pagan mysticism.''

With the arms of the cross raised in an upright position, it is "a Pythagorean emblem of the course of life, in the form of a rising path with fork roads to Good and Evil.'' It also signifies fertility, but with the arms pointing downward, it denotes evil and death.

"In fact, the inverted 'Man-rune'--the figure encircled in the common sign which the Communists tell us means 'peace'--has for centuries been a favourite sign of Satanists.''

Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, used the peace symbol as the backdrop for his altar.

One former Satanic witch makes the following comment about the peace symbol:

"It is an ancient and powerful symbol of Antichrist. During the dark ages it was used by Satanists of all sorts during the initiation of a new member to their order. They would draw the magic circle and give the initiate a cross. The initiate would then lift the cross and "turn it upside down". He would then renounce Christianity in all three dimensions (sic) of time (past, present and future) and break the horizontal pieces downward forming the design of the 'Raven's Foot.' For one to wear or display this symbol is to announce either knowingly or unknowingly that you have rejected Christ. Remember, symbolism is a picture language, and a picture is worth a thousand words.''

It was designed from the naval code of semaphore, and the symbol upright represents the code letters for ND (Nuclear disarment). The peace symbol widely used is reverse: DN.

A little before the first Aldermaston march at Easter 1958, Holtom showed up at the offices of _Peace News_ in London with drawings for banners and the symbol: "On a purple square was superimposed a white circle with a purple cross inside it, or almost a cross. The arms had slipped and were drooping against the lower sides of the circle. Holtom had made the design by combining the semaphore letters N and D: N for nuclear and D, naturally, for disarmament."

Herb Greer an American journalist and playwright was actually there on and before the first Aldermaston March for which it was created. He visited Holtom, and saw the original sketches and discussed it with him. The reason for the symbol being upside down (D over N) is that semaphore is a military code. He said Upside down, it was anti-military." ?????

Holtom had been commissioned by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. The CND, headed by philosopher Bertrand Russell, was planning an Easter march to Canterbury Cathedral to protest the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment atAldermaston.

After doodling around with several versions of the Christian cross set in A circle, Holtom hit on the crow's-foot idea. This had a couple things going for it.

During the heyday of the peace movement, other interpretations of the Symbol were also offered. A national Republican newsletter noted that it looked a lot like an emblem used by the Nazis during World War II--an apparent coincidence.

Another interpretation, widely promoted by the John Birch Society and other right-wing groups, was that the symbol was really the "broken cross," sign of the Antichrist.

The most omnipresent symbol used currently by the international socialists is the one, is a sign of "peace." The Communists love "peace." You will remember that Lenin declared more than forty years ago in The Tasks Of The Youth League that: "As an ultimate objective, 'peace' simply means Communist world control." And the Communists are campaigning for precisely that sort of "peace." Their symbol is a part of the trappings of this scheme. Resembling a reversed chicken track enclosed in a circle, or a swept-wing bomber in vertical flight, the "peace" insignia - like the other symbols of the international socialists - reflects what Lenin called "that cursed 'Aesopian' language."

According to the radical World Without War Council: "The Peace Action Symbol was designed on February 21, 1958 for use in the first Aldermaston Easter Peace Walk in England.

A less guarded commentary on the origin and meaning of this symbol appeared in Win magazine, an official publication of the subversive War Resisters League. On Page twenty-seven of Win for October 1, 1969, we read that the "Nuclear Disarmament Symbol" was "adopted immediately by Hugh Brock and Pat Arrowsmith on behalf of the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War (London) who initiated and organized the first Aldermaston March at Easter of that year [1958] ." According to the authoritative Intelligence Digest, both Brock and Arrowsmith have for years been affiliated with Communist enterprises in Europe.

Elaborating on this theme, Win explains that in creating the initial design:

The first mark on paper was a white circle against a black square. This was followed by various versions of Christian crosses drawn within the white "spere" [sic] on a black background and these in turn gave way to the final ND form .... but reversed D over N.

Immediately following the "First March" (there had been previous small scale Aldermaston demonstrations} an ND badge version of the Symbol was devised and made by Eric Austen. Eric's researches into the origins of symbolism confirmed that the "gesture of despair" motif has been associated through ancient history with the "death of man," and the circle with the "unborn child" .... THE DEATH OF MAN??????????

Apparently the "N" and "D" were an afterthought. That explanation came later. The design is a product of careful research of ancient symbolism - especially various forms of the Christian cross. But, what these propagandists of the War Resisters League (2) do not say is that the design was adopted from one initiated by the infamous Bertrand Russell.

Day out of time info...

SO heres something interesting about day out of time...

My friend from norway who I just opened the dreamspell up to...she left a while back...told me that she would be back after July 26th on the gregorian blue crystal storm...I said well thats funny why are you staying so long..
She proceeded to tell me about midnight sun ceremony.

Which always happens on Greg July 25th...ie the day out of time...the sun doesnt set for 24 hrs...
every year on the day that we celebrate as no day at all...

Isnt that amazing when she told me that I almost jumped out of my seat....OH MY #@$@#!
Iexplained to her about the dreamspells day out of time and the coordination of the new cycle with the helacial rising of sirius on the Calenders year bearer and she told me that that made so much sense....

Anyway i hope you all have a chance to read this and pass whatever info seems pertinent to pass on...

twelve in a circle is complex stability and the center is 13.

So we have a 12 month calendar and clock with 12 hours on it. What’s the superstitious number? Thirteen. So here they had divisions of time based on twelve. What was the most common division of time before history? We now find that most people before “history” used a 13 month, 28-day calendar. You still find the Druids using this, also the Inca populations of South America still use it—in their calendar this is the year 5,512 on that calendar which is called the Pachacuti calendar.

Why was the number 13 suppressed? This civilization suffers from trisdekaphobia—fear of the number 13. If you go to older apartment houses in places like New York City and take the elevator it goes from the twelfth to the fourteenth floor—this is real trisdekaphobia. The Mayan calendar system is based on the number 13. Thirteen is the number of the cosmic movement of time. Twelve is a static number. It is a perfect multiple of two, three, four and six—but it has no motion inside it. If you think of twelve abstractly, it creates an interlocking set of planes.

Thirteen is a prime number. The moon actually goes around the Earth thirteen times a year. Which is also scientific. The actual cycle of the moon from New Moon to New Moon is 29.5 days—this is called the synodic cycle. But the sidereal cycle—which measures where the moon appears in the sky to where it appears in the same place again is 27 days. This is because we are looking from down here on Earth. If you are up in space you see that the moon is going around the Earth thirteen times in the time the Earth goes around the sun once.

What happens when people base their sense of time on perceptions that are artificial, mechanistic, arbitrary and also irrational and irregular. As we know, the Gregorian calendar—thirty days hath September…that’s as much as you learn about the calendar. Why, if we are a rational scientific civilization do we use a contrivance like this? You can read many books about the Gregorian calendar and there is nothing but apologies for this fact. No one understands what kind of deep effect this has on our unconscious and on our social programming.

What is a calendar? A calendar is the principle instrument used to program a society’s customs. If you took away the Gregorian calendar where are you going to find July 4 and Christmas? When those dates come around you can see the fever building up, even if you don’t want to be a part of it. Pretty soon you have your Christmas depression; you didn’t want to have your Christmas depression again. Everything that a society, a culture or a people does is programmed into the calendar. The calendar is the macroprogramming device of a society or a culture. Take away the Chinese calendar or take away the Jewish or Islamic calendar and all the festivals and customs are taken away. This just shows that how in some ways how relative and arbitrary these programming devices are.
